Rosehill Community Center – A multifaceted campaign to promote and better utilize a city asset, the Rosehill Community Center. We worked directly with city personnel to develop marketing strategies to accomplish their goals and fit within the budget. In order to fill the building during slower times, we reached out to the business community to grow awareness of the space and pricing through e-blasts, print ads, and networking. We conducted market research and created analytics to compare amenities at similar facilities and brought this information to the Mukilteo City Council. We continued to promote wedding activities, a primary revenue producer, while facilitating new business for open times and spaces. By writing and promoting press releases we helped stimulate interest in new programs and increase public awareness of the facility and affiliated recreational activities. We developed sponsorship packets for local businesses to support community events and planned and executed a citywide Volunteer Appreciation luncheon.
Discover Mukilteo Tourism Campaign – This ongoing promotional campaign is primarily designed to help hotels fill up on weekends when they are traditionally slower. (Many local hotels specialize in business travelers (Boeing) that rarely spend the weekend.) It is also intended to bring people to the City of Mukilteo to spend money with other local businesses and to grow recognition of the city as a tourist destination. This program consists of Radio, Print and Banner Ads, Social Media, Merchandising, Native Content, and Contests with an emphasis on branding the city as a fun recreational destination. We helped the city identify assets of interest to tourists (beach, launch ramps, hiking and biking trails, dog park, flight museums and other aerospace tourism.) We then built the campaign around growing awareness of these great tourist attractions to people outside of the local community so they will come visit Mukilteo.
